Best Weekend Ever

When my mum said that my cousin was coming over, I was so excited, because I was looking froward to doing a lot of cool things with her. My cousin got bored and wanted to go to the park.


My cousin Precious always likes going to the park, so she asks my dad if we can go. When he said yes me and Precious get excited and happy . So we run down to the the park.


After playing at the park we both got hunger, we run up to the house and told dad the we were hunger. He said OK and told us that we were eating “chicken and rice”. After a few hours later he said it was finished and he told us to come on the table, we said to him “that you should be a chef some day.



The next day Precious had to go home,I felt sad because we had a lot of fun and she had to go.

My groups Haka

This is my groups haka.It shows how the Ka Mate Haka was invented.

Maui and Matau

I will till you about a game I have learnt. The game it called Maui and Matau, it is a Maori game.
The first thing you have to do is get in to a circle and have some Rakau. You have to hold onto the Rakau and let go when the leader says maui or matau. Maui means move a step left, matau a step right.

Polar Bears

Polar bears are the largest bears in the world. They live in the in Arctic ocean and on ice, they live near the north pole.


Polar bears have very thick hair that keeps them very warm. They have strong legs and feet, on there feet they have sharp paws. On there paws they have bumps to hold on ice.


The cubs live with there mother for 2 and a half years, as the cub lives with it mother the mother teachers the cub how to hunt for food. Normally polar bears live by there selves.



Polar bears hunt for seals, seals are polar bears main food. It waits until the seal comes out of the water to tack a breath in it’s berthing hole, so it can have a breath of air and as it takes a breath the polar bear get his sharp paws and grabs the seal.



A polar bear that lives in the wild lives for 20 years. But a polar bear that lives in the zoo lives for 41 years.

Thung Chai Boats

My reading group read about thug chai which are Vietnamese fishing boats. I have written instruction on how they are made.

1.Cutting long poles of bamboo
2.Cut scrapes of outer skin
3.Slice poles into thin slats
4.Soak the slats in water
5.Weave it
6.Get thinker pieces of bamboo to hold the weaving together.
7.Put resin on the thung chai to make it stop from rotting in the sun and salty water.

Tonga and Canada

Today is Wednesday the 14th of September, today is the day that Tonga will be the vising Canada . It will be held in Whangarei and it will start at 5.00pm today. My predication is 46 for Tonga and 27 for Canada.

The Open Ceremony Of The Rugby World Cup

The Rugby World has finely come, it began on Friday the 9 of September. It is so spectacular they had an amazing beginning .


The breathtaking fire works overwhelmed the crowd. Some of the fire works in the air, looked like colorful shooting stars, or flowers. The fire works made the air look amazing.

As the crowed went wild they all start pushing to get into the front. The crowd was so loud it was like an army of shouting people, many of them were dressed up in consumes. the crowd wear red white and blue, the crowd was so huge.

Although the city struggled with the hue crowd every one agreed that the opening ceremony was a huge success.

The Start Of The Rugby World Cup

It's time for the Rugby World Cup, All Blacks vs Tonga it will be in Eden park. One more day till the kick off how will win?
It is going to be hard because the All Blacks have only won since 1987. I think that the score will be 24-20, There will be a lot of flags waving around, it will be full with Tongans and New Zealanders. The All Blacks will first perform there Haka then the Tongans will perform there chant.

New Zealand

Most of the tourists visiting New Zealand in September, are coming to see the rugby world cup. When the tourists come they will find idyllic beach's and wonderful restaurants. Tourists coming here, will have an incredible time .

New Zealand is a beautiful country and a must do for any travel holiday. Our wonderful country has idyllic islands with lush rainforests. In our vibrant cities we have, sophisticated restaurants.

New Zealand has a spectacular and diverse landscape, and a temperate climate. This wonderful country has spectacularly beautiful landscapes ,including vast mountain chains and sweeping coast lines. In our lush rainforests we have many native species.

Persuasive Writing

We should all have 1 day with out television, per week. There are many reason’s for this.
This would be very good for you, it will save a lot of power and money for important things and you would not have to worry about your home work.

Firstly, this would save a lot of power. It will save the electricity and your bill not so big. The power will save a lot of money to pay your bill. The TV can cost a lot.

Secondly,It will be good, you will have finished your home work. You will make your family and teacher prod. It is going to make your home work good. You will also get a job when grow up.

I believe that not watching TV every day will be very good for you. Don’t you?

Extreme Makeover Courtyard Edition

In room 17 we are redesigning our courtyard.
We chose to put a basketball hoop in room 17's courtyard because no one plays around in our courtyard and kids like to play basket ball. I have been looking at some information about the basketball hoop and it is $45.00 for it.

Did you know I will also put grow some flowers in the court yard?. The seeds only cost $2.99 at the warehouse. I think it should be in the court yard so that it can be colorful.

I have also put some palm trees in my plan so in summer when you get hot of playing basketball you can lie under the palm tree. I think it should be there because it is going to be really hot in summer.

Oktapodi

I am going to show you a review about Oktapodi. It is set in a Greek Village. Their is a female and male octopus and a chef .It is about to octopus in love together and are not letting go. The main message of this movies is don’t ever let go of who you love the most.
I would show this to my friends and family because they might of had someone that they loved but they had let go.

My Eel Trap

In reading I have been reading about eel traps in Samoa. I have drawn my own eel trap as you can see. Eels sleep during the day and hunt during night time. In my picture the eel is going into the trap to eat the fish.

Redesigning My Net-book Bag

Room 17 are designing a new net-book case for there net-books, using the BAR KEYS. I have add to my net-book some new pockets to put important things inside it.

I have add the pockets on to the net-book because you can put important things that you really need. I also added a password key so that you will type it in and it would open. I did it because some one might take it but they wont know the password.
